A big-breed puppy can be four times his size by eighteen months. Buy a bed for the puppy in front of you and you buy again at six months, and again at a year. Size for the grown dog and one bed sees him from puppy to senior.

A field full of dogs in the sun gets hot. We put ice water down and set the bowl on the bed.

Nobody was coaxed onto anything. They came for the water and stayed for the bed.

The question everyone asked
Never about foam. Always how big is he going to get.
We brought a cooler of ice and a bowl of water.
That was the whole plan. It is hot in a field full of dogs and nobody walks in thinking about beds. So we put the water down, dogs came over to drink, and most of them lay down on the bed while they were there. Some of them did not want to get up.
That is still the best demonstration we have found. We do not have to say anything.
What an outdoor show teaches you.
Outdoors a dog has a hundred reasons to keep moving. Other dogs, new smells, open space. So when one stops in the middle of all that and lies down, it means something.
Give him cold water and somewhere soft in the sun and he will pick it over the grass. That is not a sales technique, it is just what dogs do, and it is the only argument for a bed that works without words.

One question, and it is not about us: what happened to your dog's last bed? Flattened, chewed, soaked, or thrown out. Every feature on this bed came out of somebody answering that, long before we had anything to sell.

We are Bruno & Co., a small team in Kitchener, Ontario, and we make one thing: a three-layer orthopedic bed for big dogs, in four sizes. It is designed by us in Kitchener and made to our specification by our manufacturing partner.
What is actually inside it
Three layers, not one bag of stuffing. A memory foam top that takes his shape, a cooling gel layer under it, and a firm base - the layer that decides whether he can feel the floor. Three inches of foam on Small and Medium, four on Large and Extra Large. The whole cover unzips, bolsters included.
