Growth plates close at 18 months. Every night before that matters.
Large-breed dogs have an extended developmental phase. During this time, their growth plates — the soft cartilage at the end of each bone — are still forming. The surface they sleep on directly affects how that cartilage hardens into bone.
A surface that's too soft compresses under 80+ lbs and offers no support. A surface that's too firm creates pressure points on developing joints. The Bruno Bed is engineered to sit exactly in between — firm enough to support, soft enough to conform.

Contours gently around hips, elbows, and shoulders. Provides pressure relief without the "sinking" feeling that cheap memory foam creates. Density-matched for dogs up to 130+ lbs.
35 kg/m³ densityOpen-cell gel foam dissipates body heat 3× faster than standard foam. Large breeds sleep warm. This layer solves that without a cold surface that stiffens joints in winter.
Open-cell gel infusedA standard 1.5 lb/ft³ foam base compresses to the floor under 80 lbs. Our 4 lb/ft³ base distributes weight evenly. It's why the bed feels the same at week 1 as it does at year 5.

Every certification on the Bruno Bed was independently tested. We don't use vague language like "premium" or "lab-tested" without the paper to prove it.

Every component of the cover — yarn, thread, accessories — is tested against a list of 100+ harmful substances. Safe for skin contact at every stage of life.
A bonded thermoplastic polyurethane membrane between the outer microsuede and inner foam. Liquid-proof at the foam level, not just the cover surface.
We use YKK — the world standard in zipper reliability. Not because it's the cheapest option, but because the zipper is the first thing to fail on competitor beds.
